092 | Fresh, New, Glittering Eyes
As much as we want to begin the new year with a bright, shiny, clean slate, the shit we carried, hid, and buried—and the symptoms that showed up because of them—may still follow us. This doesn’t mean that 2023 will be a rehash of 2022. It means that the challenges of last year don’t want to be put on hold. And that’s okay; it’s part of being human. But this year offers us new ways of dealing with our challenges and looking at the same old shit with fresh, new, glittering eyes.
In this episode, I discuss looking at past issues and traumas from a fresh perspective. I explain how resurfacing old trauma doesn’t necessarily lead to having a bad year. I also discuss how our mindset decides how we relate to our trauma and how it makes the difference between being powerful owners or powerless victims.
“Go on. Get your fresh on. See the universe that’s waiting for you—inviting you to show up in all of who you truly are. That truth looks gorgeous on you.” - Karen Goldfinger Baker
