030 | The Courage to Connect with Our Feelings with Joe Ryan

Joe Ryan is a trauma coach. During his lifelong path of overcoming trauma and shame, Joe has turned his journey into a mission to pave the road for others. Through his one-on-one coaching services, Joe helps people heal and conquer their own traumatic pasts. His podcast, It’s Not You; It’s Your Trauma, tackles trauma, PTSD, abuse, anxiety, and recovery. In addition to his work as a trauma coach, Joe is the Director of Operations of HELIX, a premier WordPress hosting service for creatives.

Joe joins me today to describe healing through self-compassion and courage. He explains how learning to sit with his feelings helped him heal and cultivate his identity from within.  He also discusses what made him confront his childhood trauma and abandonment issues, describes how working with a therapist has helped him with his journey, and underscores the value of human connection.

“We all pretend that we’re okay, then suffer alone inside. Our healing is through connection to self and other human beings.” - Joe Ryan
